Another Bloomin’ Success

Absolute Recruitment UK Ltd has come up smelling of roses after capping an amazing year with a turnaround in its fortunes - in which it has opened a new office in Lincolnshire and acquired another recruitment company in Cheshire.

Absolute Recruitment has opened up in Spalding to act as the sole supplier of temporary and semi-permanent staff to a florist which cuts flowers and arranges bouquets for the UK’s leading supermarkets.

The High Street-based recruiter was recommended to the florist by Association of Labour Providers (ALP) and managing director Jessica Marshall said her company, which she owns with husband Dan, has built a working relationship that has blossomed quickly.

“When we got the call from the ALP we had to parachute some of our team in to Spalding to help the florist straightaway and the rest of the work we were able to do from our Crewe office,” said Jessica.

“We have quickly forged such a strong working relationship with our new client that they have insisted we open an office to continue providing their labour. And, they are helping us to drum up more local business in an area which has a strong industry supplying fresh produce to supermarkets.

“We were recommended because of our experience in supplying staff for company’s dealing with fresh produce and also because we hold all the correct Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA) documentation which enables us to supply large teams of workers.”

The opening of the new Spalding office, which is in [insert address], caps a remarkable year in which the company has battled through the tough times of the recession with an aggressive programme of expansion and acquisitions.

The husband and wife team bought Winsford-based Bralin Recruitment at the end of last year.

Dan Marshall said the last 12 months had been remarkable in the company's ability to trade through the recession and build a business that was larger and stronger as a result.

“The relationship we have built up with the florist in a short space of time exemplifies our approach and demonstrates why companies are keen to work with us,” he said.

“We have a great team at Absolute that is able to respond quickly to any requirement a client might have and the way we do that is setting us apart and helping us to grow our business.”
